Today, I think I'll buy a candy store...

OK, Dylan, you got it!
Thus goes the story of Dylan's Candy Bar in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Dylan Lauren (Ralph Lauren's Daughter) is the owner of this little gem. It was a neat place and has every kind of candy you can imagine! The main reason we came here, though, was to see the clothes from the Hershey Challenge on Project Runway. In case you have no idea what I'm talking about, Project Runway is a show where wanna-make-it-big fashion designers go on reality TV to strut their stuff and show the world what they can make in only a matter of hours with typically ridiculous guidelines or off-the-wall materials... For this Hershey Challenge the cast had 10 minutes to grab anything they could use as material (including the candy itself) from the Hershey's store in Times Square and make a runway-ready garment in only about 18 hours! The images below are the end products from each designer:

  1. Of course, you can tell from those pictures that Christian's is the best. Love it!

  2. hey Ashely- I have a question. As you might have gathered from our blog, we're planning on starting a church next year. Anyway, we just got the first two concepts from a design/architecture firm for the church's logo. We're looking for feedback and given your background with design I was wondering if you would mind looking at them and giving me your reaction- maybe via e-mail? Let me know if that would be an option- thanks!
