Oh My Sweet Carolina

We visited the Biltmore house, gardens, and winery today in Asheville, North Carolina.
The Biltmore House was the largest private residence in the U.S. built by George Vanderbilt in the late 1800's. At the peak of the estate it spanned 122,000 acres. Today it is slightly smaller but is still privately owned by the Biltmore family.

We also took in dinner and a movie at the local cinema "the Carolina" which was super hip... look at those lounge seats! They served good stuff like beer and wine and hummus, too!

  1. What a cool theater! We loved the Biltmore house, too. We "tested" so many flavors at the winery that they were able to sell us two cases of wine (and some yummy dark chocolate) before we left!

  2. The Carolina looks so cool! There was one similar to that in Atlanta, but it was booked up.
