I'm going to be a nanny in Boston! I just accepted an offer today! I'm so excited about it.
A designer I talked to in Boston said people were taking pay cuts just to keep their jobs and most other firms were on their 3rd or 4th round of lay-offs. I wasn't interested in that. I am, however, interested in playing with kids outside all day long and going to museums and finger painting!
The more I think about it the more I love the idea of what's in store for me next year. I absolutely love design and designing and I have no intention of leaving it forever by any means...
All you moms who read my blog, please leave me some words of wisdom! I'll be caring for three children under the age of 3! Yowza!
And for the record, this is Nanny McPhee... not Nanny Ashley. Nanny Ashley does not have a uni-brow, among other notable off-putting facial things.
Nice! I wish I had some worthy advice. Coffee, coffee, coffee is all I'll say. It should be a fun change of scenery though, kids are great! Congrats on finding a job (and cute haircut too).
ReplyDeleteYou never know, Ashlee. You could be so busy with babies that you don't even have time to pluck. So, just make sure you check that out every now and then.
ReplyDeleteAshley, You amaze me!!!! Who could be better at this kind of work than you/ You are so quiet and calm. That is the advise I give. I should know a little about babies. Of course children do not always say quiet and calm.. You will get some good experience for later.
