It's alarming to be startled awake by sirens then to open your eyes to see strobes of red and white light totally illuminating the room in which you're sleeping.
We heard sirens about 3:45am this morning. When we looked across the street we saw three fire engines with fire fighters dressed to fight fires! It was an adventure for about 20 minutes then they left.
Meredith, what happened over there last night?!
That's weird. Last week, I witnessed a restaurant here in town burn nearly to the ground. Must be fire season. Check your fire alarms.

I woke up, and looked through my window, and it looked like they were going to the side of my house!! but i couldn't really tell what was going on, but i think it was the house next to me. I drove by in the morning too and i couldnt see any burn marks. maybe someone had a heart attack?
ReplyDeleteit was very strange though, and when i think back i was pretty stupid about it.. i looked and stood there trying to figure it out for about 5 minutes, and then thought "oh well, i'm tired, i have to go to sleep" and just went to bed. if it had been a bad fire i would have been in trouble! but when i saw the fire fighters, it didnt look like they were in much of a panic mode. haha
